Valeria Tskhay is the training coordinator of the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities department (MCDD). Prior to joining the team, Valeria was an MCDD trainee and worked on the MCDD Faith Community Learning Collaborative project under the supervision of Dr. Mirian Ofonedu.
The project aimed at providing training and resources to Faith leaders to help them make their faith spaces more inclusive for people with disabilities. Valeria holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health from University of Maryland. She is an advocate for public health education and believes that in order to create meaningful change towards inclusion, we must provide access to meaningful information and resources that allow communities to make such changes. Being a strong advocate for and with those in need is one of the best ways to serve communities and create a healthier environment for everyone.
