Success Stories: Day Feeding Program

A 6-year-old boy from Florida was referred to our program for severe food selectivity. He survived on Cheerios, chips, gummi bears, and apple juice. His family couldn’t eat together at a family meal, nor go out to a restaurant without extreme tantrumming. After treatment here, he eats from all of the food groups and in any setting. On the day of discharge, he and his mother ate out successfully at Bennigan’s, like any other mother and son. He packs a regular lunch in his lunch box and eats with his peers at school. Now, the family eats together both at home and in the community.
