Join Maggie and Matthew Schneider as they perform with special guests Solisti Ensemble to benefit the children at Kennedy Krieger Institute. This wonderful family-friendly event features incredible musical performances and an opportunity to support a cause that benefits so many!

Maggie Schneider, 12, and Matthew Schneider, 11, are accomplished violinists and philanthropists. Matthew is also an accomplished vocalist. They started their musical training at The Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Institute in Baltimore, and began studying the violin at 3½ years old. In 2016, they transitioned their studies to New York City, at the Manhattan School of Music’s Precollege program, where they currently study violin under Byung K. Kwak.

Maggie and Matthew use their performances as a tool for fundraising for childhood-focused charities. Through an annual benefit concert series they co-developed, they have raised $30,000 to benefit nonprofit organizations for children.

Maggie and Matthew will be debuting at Carnegie Hall, but nothing will be more exciting for them than to retake the stage together on August 13 to perform for an audience of philanthropists and peers. Learn more about Maggie and Matthew here.

This year, we are especially excited to feature the world-class musicians of the New York City-based Solisti Ensemble for this special performance. Founded in 2008, Solisti Ensemble is a conductorless string ensemble. The unique size of the ensemble and each member's individual virtuosity and musicality create an extraordinary sound that is quite unlike the conventional classical music culture known today. As a way to make this music accessible to all audiences, the group is passionate about collaborating with organizations in outreach projects and benefit efforts, drawing people together through the shared language of music for greater causes. The ensemble has performed on notable stages such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and we are thrilled to welcome them to Baltimore.
