Methylation of Genes in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders

Principal Investigator:

The goals of this project are as follows:

1. Examine methylation profiles in children diagnosed with FASD compared to children with other psychiatric disorders to evaluate whether there are distinctive patterns of methylation associated with in utero exposure to alcohol.

2. For those differences in methylation identified in the current assay, examine if particular patterns of methylation are associated with specific physical or behavioral phenotypic features in children with FASD.
