Dr. Jain is a clinical geneticist and pediatrician. His clinical interests include Osteogenesis Imperfecta and other genetic disorders of the skeleton. He is the site primary investigator of the Brittle Bone Disorders Consortium. His research interest is in the development of novel and creative analytic methods for genomic data and applying these methods to understand rare genetic disorders of the skeleton.


Paul D. Sponseller, MD

Dr. Sponseller is the co-founder of the OI Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute, where he holds active staff tenure. He is also the Chief of Pediatric Orthopedics at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Vice Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins University.

Jennifer joined the Bone and OI department in April of 2016. She brings with her Emergency and Pediatric Primary Care Knowledge and Skills, to care for patients across the lifespan with various illnesses and disabilities. She graduated with honors, and recognition from the National Nursing Honors Society.

Victor has worked at Kennedy Krieger Institute for over 11 years providing nursing care for children and adults with disabilities. He joined the Bone and OI Department in September 2014 as a densitometry technologist.


Dionna Hicks

Since 2002, Dionna Hicks,  has served as the Clinical Service Coordinator for the OI Clinic.  She has been an intricate part of helping the OI clinic grow to what it is today.   Dionna also serves as the coordinator for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Conference In Baltimore; the annual gathering of local and international health care providers, researchers, ethicists, nutritionists, and surgeons who specialize in the field of Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
