OI:Kennedy Krieger Institute Competes Successfully For $80,000 Grant

ALT TITLE: $80,000 Received for Linked Clinical Research Centers Initiative

2.1.08 - Dr. Jay Shapiro has received a $80,000 grant from the Foundation and the Children’s Brittle Bone Society to establish the Kennedy Krieger OI Program as a Linked Clinical Research Center (LCRC) along with two other OI centers, the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, and the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The goal of the LCRCs is to develop a clinical database that would enable data sharing among clinicians, longitudinal analysis, and long-term monitoring to improve treatment and care for OI patients.
