Brain Injury Programs and Services
A Continuum of Care for the Child's Developing Brain
At any stage of recovery, Kennedy Krieger Institute is one of the nation’s leading centers focused on pediatric brain injury rehabilitation.
Established in 1979, Kennedy Krieger’s Pediatric Brain Injury Program treats children and adolescents who have rehabilitation needs as a result of a neurological injury or illness. The program offers a coordinated continuum of care that allows patients to be seen through all phases of treatment, including 24-hour inpatient programs, day treatment, home/community-based services, and outpatient specialty programs.
Specialists from multiple disciplines work together to evaluate, diagnose, and create an individualized treatment plan customized to each patient's unique needs.
Our program helps individuals recover from their injuries and make the transition back to home, school, and community life.
