Kennedy Krieger Institute
707 N. Broadway
Kennedy Krieger Institute is the proud recipient of 10 wheelchairs donated by the Wheelchair Foundation and Southwest Airlines' Baltimore/Washington Employees. The children who are on the Inpatient Units, recovering from surgery or a brain injury, will use these wheelchairs. Until they can receive wheelchairs of their own, these patients will enjoy the mobility and freedom gained from the use of these wheelchairs. Southwest Airlines is charitably flying these wheelchairs to their new home at Kennedy Krieger.
Chris Lewis, Director of Development for the Wheelchair Foundation and son of entertainer/humanitarian Jerry Lewis, and the Baltimore/Washington Southwest Airlines' Employees will be presenting wheelchairs to the eagerly awaiting children.
After the official announcement of this donation, children and staff will hold a Halloween Party in honor of these special guests. Complete with a costume parade, Halloween games and treats, Kennedy Krieger's guests will enjoy a Halloween party with the children and staff of Kennedy Krieger.
