The Daily Times: Telemedicine program connects doctors in Baltimore with child patients in Berlin
Thanks to a new telemedicine program at Atlantic General Hospital, services in the past that would have required a three-hour drive to Baltimore are now available right inside the Berlin hospital. Atlantic General staff have partnered with doctors from the Kennedy Krieger Institute so special needs children on the Eastern Shore can consult with specialists through a new telemedicine system. Cameras and a large, flat screen monitor allow doctors from Baltimore to see and interact with Shore patients just as they would if they were in the room with them. Read more.
