NBC 12 Richmond: Little Boy Diagnosed with Rare Seizure Disorder

Cameron Longley, an inpatient with a rare disorder is now relearning to do many things that so many of us take for granted.

In this NBC 12 feature, Dr. Suzanne Rybczynski, medical director for inpatient pediatric rehabilitation, describes patient Cameron Longley, who suffers from Febrile Infeciton Related Epilepsy Syndrome (FIRES). Though there is currently no treatment, this feature shows how the therapy Cameron receives at the Institute is helping him learn how to walk and talk again.
