This presentation introduces several simple practices from the mindful parenting literature to increase positive ways of coping with stress associated with parenting children with special needs.

Presentation Objective:Participants will develop a basic understanding of mindfulness and why it can be beneficial and learn how to use some simple mindfulness practices as tools for reducing caregivers stress when parenting children with special needs.
