Festival of Trees is an exciting three-day, holiday-themed festival that raises funds for research, treatment, education, and community programs at the Institute. The Cow Palace becomes a winter playground, featuring more than 700 spectacular holiday trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses created by local designers. From members of local Girl Scout Troops to employees at nationally renowned architectural firms, everyone gets in on the fun. Once you’ve feasted your eyes on the decorations, enjoy the live holiday entertainment from performers such as kids’ band Milkshake, holiday readings by local celebrities, a children's craft area, a magical carousel, “reindeer” pony rides, and of course, Santa. Find the perfect presents for your loved ones with plenty of holiday shopping and a silent auction featuring exciting getaway packages, autographed sports memorabilia, and more.
