Spring Internships with MCDD

Victoria Abel, a junior at Baltimore’s City Neighbors High School, returned for a second-semester internship with Project HEAL (Health, Education, Advocacy and Law), a medical-legal partnership at the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities (MCDD). Victoria is working five hours a week for 10 weeks. She has a twin sibling with an intellectual disability, and she hopes to work in the field of special education in the future.

Danielle Dickson, a senior at Towson University who is majoring in health science, joined MCDD for the spring semester. Danielle is working 40 hours a week for 15 weeks, and she will earn 12 college credits through the internship experience.

Meredith Nicholson, a Wendy Klag Scholar at The Johns Hopkins University and a public health major, joined MCDD as a non-matriculating spring trainee working 12 hours per week.

Candace Parker, a law student at the University of Baltimore School of Law, joined Project HEAL for the spring semester. Candace is working 12 hours a week and will earn three college credits through the attorney practice internship experience.
