Project HEAL Celebrates 11th Anniversary

Project HEAL (Health, Education, Advocacy, and Law), Maryland’s only medical-legal partnership, celebrated its 11th anniversary on Sept. 8 at Bertha’s restaurant in Fells Point, Baltimore. Bertha’s, famous for its mussels, is a corporate sponsor of Project HEAL.

More than 50 Project HEAL partners and friends attended the celebration and participated in the raffles. Bertha’s generously donated 11 percent of the evening’s sales to Project HEAL.

Project HEAL is a community-based program of the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities, which provides advocacy and legal services for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are patients at Kennedy Krieger Institute and their families.

DLA Piper Supports Project HEAL

On Dec. 2, DLA Piper's Baltimore offices raised $466 through their Denim Day initiative to benefit Project HEAL.
