Happy New Year!
The mission of the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities (MCDD) is to provide leadership that advances the inclusion of people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities. We strive continuously to meet our goal. In this newsletter, we highlight many of the exciting things we are working on to improve the lives of Marylanders with disabilities.
In February, we will be submitting a grant application to the Administration for Community Living (ACL) for five years of core funding. To prepare, we are working with our Community Advisory Council and other stakeholders, including self-advocates and family members, to highlight barriers and problems people with disabilities and their families face, resources in the state, partners, solutions, and measures of success. We are confident that this work with our partners will help MCDD prepare a successful grant application. The funding will allow MCDD to meaningfully contribute to the quality of life of Marylanders with disabilities and their families.
We are always interested in hearing from our partners and stakeholders. Please let us know your thoughts and feedback about our work.
