Families and visitors may park in the Kennedy Krieger Parking Garage for free. To enter the garage, pass the Institute on North Broadway, cross Madison Street, turn right on Ashland, and turn right into the garage. Validate your parking ticket at the front security desk.

Success Stories

The International Center for Spinal Cord Injury offers more than just the hope of recovery from what was once thought to be an irreversible and life altering injury. Through the use of Activity Based Restorative Therapies (RT) great promise has been shown helping adults and children with chronic spinal cord injuries recover sensation, movement, independence, and overall improved quality of life even many months or years after an injury.

Our Staff

The International Center for Spinal Cord Injury at Kennedy Krieger is staffed by an interdisciplinary team of professionals with extensive experience caring for children and adults with disabilities. The Center’s leaders, in particular, have dedicated their careers to providing the most comprehensive, innovative therapies possible for patients with spinal cord injuries.

Support Groups

Regeneration Generation

Join us for our monthly spinal cord injury support group, "Regeneration Generation." Each month features a new and exciting topic presentation or discussion. Meetings are held on one Monday each month from 12 - 2 PM, and lunch is provided for those who RSVP.

Our Facilities & Technologies

The International Center for Spinal Cord Injury employs highly skilled physical and occupational therapists and support staff that specializes in the treatment of individuals with spinal cord injuries utilizing an activity based restorative therapies (ABRT). The treatment of pediatric inpatient and adult and pediatric outpatient populations occur in a state of the art center equipped with multiple technologically advanced rehabilitative instruments designed to facilitate optimal delivery of the most appropriate rehabilitative interventions.
