Families are Invited to Learn More About Foster Care for Children with Special Needs

(Baltimore, MD) - Like most treatment foster care programs in the nation, Kennedy Krieger Institute's Therapeutic Family Care (TFC) program is in critical need of foster families for children with special physical, developmental and mental health needs.

As exposure to community violence and drugs and alcohol in-utero increases - while available family supports decrease - the need for "treatment" foster parents is greater than ever, but the pool of available and qualified individuals has not kept up with the demand.
