Accelerating Autism Research
The proposed project will enable the Interactive Autism Network (IAN) to provide recruitment assistance to qualified research projects throughout the U.S. and to provide a large, validated longitudinal data set to qualified research projects. This project provides support for the core functions of the IAN Project and support for innovations that will enable the project to serve researchers and families better. These innovations include the development and deployment of an enhanced subject recruitment service, the linking of the Simons and IAN data sets, and the development of infrastructure that will enable researchers to study comorbid conditions. Strategic investments in the project's technology infrastructure and online community have enabled the project to recruit and manage over 32,000 research subjects and provide data and recruitment assistance to 230 researchers. The proposed project will allow IAN to continue to serve the research community and the public.
