Regulation of Glioblastoma Stem Cells by Kruppel-like Factors

This research will examine mechanisms by which the family of Kruppel-like factors regulate the behavior, differentiation and tumor initiating ability of human GBM-derived stem cells.

We will obtain de-identified GBM-stem cells derived by Dr. Alfredo Quinones from discarded JHH pathological brain tumor specimens under approved IRB protocol #NA_00023842. These neoplastic stem cells will be used for experiments in vitro and to generate tumor xenografts for experimentation in vivo.
