An Evaluation of Swallowing in Adults and Children Through the Use of a Piezo Electric Pulse Transducer and Surface Electromyogram
Principal Investigator: Peter Girolami
The primary objectives of this research are to: (1) validate Piezo Electric Pulse Transducer (PPT) device and Electromyogram (EMG) with adults who do not have swallowing difficulties, (2) validate PPT device and EMG with children who do not have swallowing difficulties, and (3) validate PPT and EMG with children with food refusal and swallowing difficulties.
