Evaluation of Child, Parent, and Physician Characteristics Associated with Complementary and Alternative Medicine Use in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
Our research plan is to identify child-, parent- and clinician characteristics that are associated with CAM use, using de-identified, retrospective data from the Autism Treatment Network Registry (ATN). Data analyses will include bivariate and regression analyses.
The ATN Registry is a multi-center study that collects clinical information on children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The ATN Registry has the goal of identifying common medical conditions associated with ASD and treatments used for these conditions, with a longer-term goal of creating a standardization of care for children with ASD. The data from the ATN are de-identified before given to us for analysis.
