Clinical Diagnoses and Practices in a Preschool Developmental Clinic
The purpose of the proposed study is to evaluate the frequency of developmental and behavioral disorders in preschool aged children who present to a developmental clinic, and to also observe trends in referral recommendations and pharmocologic interventions.
We will conduct a retrospective chart review of all children under 6 years at the time of their initial evaluation at the Center for Development and Learning between 01/01/2005 and 12/31/2009. Demographic information, behavioral and developmental diagnoses, referral recommendations and pharmocologic interventions will be reviewed in an effort to review the clinic practices in the preschool population.
