Motion Analysis Lab Member: Hannah Block
Hannah Block received a Bachelor's Degree in biology from the University of British Columbia in 2002. She is currently a doctoral degree candidate in neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University. Hannah is interested in how the brain uses sensory information to guide accurate reaching. She uses reaching tasks in a virtual reality environment to study how vision and proprioception are integrated and/or adapted in different situations. Her goal is to determine whether overlapping or distinct brain circuits are important for these processes by studying individuals with focal brain damage, initially focusing on the cerebellum and parietal lobe, and ultimately to study ways in which these processes might be manipulated to compensate for deficits in patient populations.
