Motion Analysis Lab Member: Amy Bastian

Amy Bastian, Ph.D.Dr. Amy Bastian is the Director of the Motion Analysis Laboratory at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and an associate professor of neurology, neurosciences, and physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oklahoma and her Doctorate Degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Bastian's interests include understanding cerebellar function/dysfunction, locomotor learning mechanisms, motor learning, autism, and how to rehabilitate people with many types of neurological diseases. To address these issues, her group studies a variety of processes, ranging from visual perceptual to fundamental motor actions, including balance, arm/hand control, and walking.
