IDDRC Behavior Science Core Faculty

Keith J. Slifer, Ph.D., serves as a co-director of the Behavior Science Core and director of its Behavior Analysis component. He is an associate professor in the departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSM), and is a medical staff affiliate of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. In addition, he directs the Pediatric Psychology Program for the Department of Behavioral Psychology at Kennedy Krieger.
 
Mark Mahone, Ph.D., serves as a co-director of the Behavior Science Core and director of its Neuropsychology component. He is an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins and the director of Neuropsychology at Kennedy Krieger. Dr. Mahone is an expert in pediatric neuropsychology and will provide neuropsychological consultation and direct neuropsychological services.
 
Amy J. Bastian, Ph.D., PT, serves as director of the Behavior Science Core’s Motion Analysis component. She is the director of the Motion Analysis Laboratory at Kennedy Krieger and a professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins. She is an expert in movement disorders, and provides consultations regarding quantification of movement, as well as access to the expertise and facilities available through her laboratory.
 
Michael F. Cataldo, Ph.D., is a Behavior Science Core co-investigator. He is a professor of Behavioral Biology at Johns Hopkins with appointments in the departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. In addition, he is the director of the Behavioral Psychology Department at Kennedy Krieger and a senior vice president of the Institute.
