Financial and Billing Matters

Kennedy Krieger's Patient Financial Services Department works closely with you and your insurance company to make the financial aspects of your stay clear and to ensure a smooth billing process. A financial representative from our office will contact your insurance carrier to obtain benefit information, reimbursement rates, and pre-certification for admission, if needed. Please bring a copy of all insurance identification cards at the time of admission to ensure we have the most up-to-date information on file. A finance representative is available at (443) 923-1838 or (443) 923-1839 to discuss your benefit information and any costs associated with your child's admission. Our comprehensive daily rate includes all room charges and most services provided by our interdisciplinary team. Professional fees, consultations, and some lab and radiology tests may be billed separately, including those from the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
