Ethics

When someone's treatment plan involves decisions that raise ethical questions, it can be hard to know the best choice. Making decisions can often be stressful and difficult because they affect everyone involved.

Coordinated by the Institute's Ethics Committee, the Ethics Program at Kennedy Krieger offers consultations for patients, family members, and staff about ethical questions in patient care. The committee also conducts monthly ethics rounds and other special lectures for staff and trainees, in-service training for ethics committee members, and makes recommendations regarding Institute policies and procedures.
