Dr. Richard Redett is co-director of the Brachial Plexus Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute. He is also the director of pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery and the Johns Hopkins Cleft Lip and Palate Center, as well as an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Division of Pediatric Surgery and the Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Redett specializes in cleft lip and palate surgery, facial paralysis, brachial plexus injuries and pediatric burn surgery. He completed his general surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2000, as well as a residency in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital combined with University of Maryland Shock Trauma in 2002. From 2002 to 2003, Dr. Redett practiced as a fellow of pediatric plastic surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Ontario, Canada. He earned a medical degree with honors from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH, in 1995. He holds a bachelor's of science in biology and a bachelor's of arts in psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He is board-certified in plastic surgery. Dr. Redett was recently selected as one of five best microsurgery cases of the year by the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgeons. Today, Dr. Redett is currently an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstrutive Surgery, and serves as the director of the Johns Hopkins Cleft Lip and Palate Center and the Johns Hopkins Facial Paralysis Center. Dr. Redett is also the co-director of the Brachial Plexus Clinic at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.
