Dr Jones is a research associate in the FM Kirby Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute. He is also an Research Associate in the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.


Biographical Sketch

Dr. Jones received an undergraduate degree in mathematics and computing science from Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada). After that Dr Jones went to the University of Western Ontario and began work in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with Dr Brian Rutt. Dr Jones completed a master's degree in medical biophysics at UWO. Dr. Jones then went to the University of British Columbia to complete his doctoral degree in physics with a primary focus in MRI. Dr Jones completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the FM Kirby Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute from 2003 to 2006, and then returned in 2009.


Research Summary

Dr Jones' primary research focus is chemical exchange saturation transfer imaging with application to multiple sclerosis, tumor, Huntington's and Alzheimer diseases. Dr Jones is also involved in protocol development on the 7T research MRI scanner at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.
