Using Visuals for Children with ASD: The Do's and Don'ts

ABOUT THE EVENT:
This training will provide caregivers with an overview regarding the importance of using visuals for children with ASD, strategies for effective implementation of those visuals from a behavioral framework, and common mistakes that are made when attempting to incorporate visuals into daily life. Caregivers will not only be provided with techniques for appropriate implementation based on a variety of needs, but also be provided with specific models to use with their own children.
Presenters: Daniel Gadke, PhD and Kasee Stratton, PhD
Dan and Kasee are both post-doctoral fellows at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Pediatric Developmental Disabilities clinic in the department of Behavioral Psychology. They provide ongoing behavioral support to individuals and families impacted by autism spectrum disorders, as well as an array of additional pediatric developmental disabilities.
This is a FREE training for parents, family members, and professionals. Registration is required.
