ABOUT THE EVENT:

Jill's House opened in October of 2010 as a short term residential respite facility in Virginia, to serve children with intellectual and developmental disabilities ages 6-17. It is a program designed to give families a break and children an experience to remember. To date we have served over 300 families for a total of 140,000 hours of respite. We have hundreds on our waiting list and are making an impact on the community.

Presenter: Mary Leidy, MSW

Mary Leidy came to her position as Chief Administrative Officer of Jill's House with over 25 years of experience in the field of Social Work. She has extensive expertise in child and family services in the community. She has worked in foster care, adoption and public and private sector mental health services. She has a passion for family advocacy in an effort to ensure quality of life for all individuals.

This is a FREE training for parents, family members, and professionals. Registration is required.
