About the Event:

If you have ever considered participation in a clinical trial for your child or young adult diagnosed with autism or ASD, this lecture will provide information and an opportunity to ask general questions about clinical trials as well as specific questions about current research trials.

This training is FREE for parents and professionals.

About the Speaker:

Tanjala T. Gipson, MD, is a child neurologist and neurodevelopmental disabilities specialist with experience in caring for children with autism spectrum disorders. As an extension of her clinical training, she is currently completing a fellowship to focus on the care of individuals with neurogenetic conditions, such as Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and Fragile X Syndrome, under the leadership of her mentor and principal investigator of the current clinical trials, Michael V. Johnston, MD. She is also completing formal training at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the design, conduct, and supervision of clinical trials.
