About the Event:

TOPIC: Bullying Prevention and Intervention

Project HEAL (Health, Education, Advocacy and Law), a community-based program of the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities at Kennedy Krieger Institute, is a comprehensive medical-legal partnership offering advocacy and legal services to low- and moderate-income families. The program helps families receive appropriate special education and related services through local school systems and challenge school disciplinary actions, in addition to other services.

TIME: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The lecture is free, free parking is available, and the building is fully accessible. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Adolescent Transition Lectures are a series of live presentations and web conferences designed to educate individuals with disabilities, parents, clinicians and community providers about issues important to adolescents and young adults with disabilities approaching adulthood. The lectures are intended to provoke and facilitate discussion.

Please note that if Baltimore County public schools are closed for the day, or close early, or cancel evening activities due to inclement winter weather, the Adolescent Transition Lecture will be canceled for that month.
