3RD ANNUAL JUDY LEVY ETHICS WORKSHOP
Digital Ethics: The Impact of Electronic Communications and Social Media on Direct Practice with Clients

As newer forms of electronic communication reshape traditional communication patterns and practices, what are the implications for social work practice? This workshop will address the principles and practices associated with the use of digital communications with clients. Using case vignettes and discussions, specific ethical issues regarding client confidentially and privacy will be raised and explored.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop will primarily address social workers’ ethical responsibilities and will reference the NASW Code of Ethics. Other health and mental health professionals may also want to attend.

Continuing education credits have been approved for social workers. Applications for approval of continuing education hours for professional counselors and therapists will be available at the workshop for those who are interested. Other disciplines will need to contact their professional boards for specifics.
